12 Step Music Fest will be held November 3-6, 2011 at Sugarloaf Key (mile marker 20) KOA Campground in the Florida Keys.

It's a mini Woodstock, minus the drugs and alcohol, but add meetings and fellowship! It is being produced by No Matter What Productions, a not for profit, 501 c 3 charity.


Comedian Mark Lundholm MC and performing at the 12 Step Music Fest 10PM EST Friday November 4, 2011


He's appeared on Comedy Central, Showtime, A&E, CBS, and NBC. Mark wrote and performed his own one-man show off-Broadway in New York City reaching critical acclaim, and in his spare time created the now staple DVD series 'Humor in Treatment' and the Recovery Board Game.

The following Super Group artists will be performing all on one stage together November 5, 2011 at 8:00 PM EST.



Ricky Byrd Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter of the NYC Hit Squad and formerly of Joan Jett And The Blackhearts. Ricky has also recorded and or toured with other great musicians like Roger Daltrey, Ian Hunter and Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes. Ricky is also a 2012 nominee for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Kasim Sulton Bassist/Singer/Songwriter of Todd Rundgren and Utopia. Kasim has also recorded and or toured with other great musicians like Meat Loaf, Joan Jett, Hall and Oates, Patti Smith, Patty Smyth, Mick Jagger, and Celine Dion just to name a few.

Liberty DeVitto formerly the drummer for Billy Joel for 30 years, is currently playing with the NYC Hit Squad and has toured or recorded with some of the following: Richard Supa, Meat Loaf, Rick Wakeman, Elton John, Carly Simon, Mick Jones, and Mitch Ryder just to name a few.

Woody Giessmann drummer of The Del Fuegos, has recorded with and or played with Alice Copper, Simon Kirke , Rick Derringer, Elliot Easton, Ace Frehley , Big Dipper, Laurie Geltman, Siedah Garrett, Raven Ford, and The Embarrassment just to name a few.

Christine Ohlman the lead vocalist for the Saturday Night Live Band is a singer, songwriter, guitarist. Her nickname "The Beehive Queen" has recorded with and or played with Ian Hunter, Ricky Byrd, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Chrissie Hynde, Big Brother & The Holding Company, BB King, Levon Helm, GE Smith and Bonnie Raitt just to name a few.

Jeff Kazee is a Musician. Pianist, Singer, Songwriter, Arranger & Producer based in NYC. Member of Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes. Performs with kazeedigs, Jon Bon Jovi, Early Elton, Bon Jovi & more.

Chris Anderson is a trumpet player with Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. He is a regular performer with Bobby Bandiera .

Neal Pawley-Trombonists with Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes

Richard "Richie" Supa is an American songwriter and guitarist best known for his work with Aerosmith and Richie Sambora. 2009 & 2011 Prism Award Winner.

Muddy Shews bassist for Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes, Buddy Miles, Gary US Bonds, and has worked with other horn bands.

EVERYONE MUST HAVE A FESTIVAL TICKET TO ENTER.

The festival is held on the campground, and 3 or 4 day tickets INCLUDE tent camping in the general camping areas(Green on map), which do not have water or electric and is on a first come, best choice available. This includes use of all the facilities (bathrooms, showers, pool, hot tub, beach etc)

If you wish to have a reserved space with water and electric, or bring and RV then you need to purchase a space. It is single charge for the space.

Up to 8 people may stay on the space, each person staying on the space must have a festival ticket.


*Use Of Alcohol or Drugs Will Result In Being Asked To Leave With No Refund.

Ricky Byrd – Guitarist, Singer, Songwriter



Lotta dues Jim, Lotta dues. That’s a line from a play about Lenny Bruce, and man oh man ain’t that the truth!!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining! I’ve had an unbelievable career so far and I’m very grateful.

Imagine a 13 year old sitting in his bedroom with his first guitar that “almost” stays in tune. He’s dreaming big dreams, hoping someday……you know the rest!

Well I got my wish. I’ve traveled the world with Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, had a couple of hit records and played guitar for two of my favorites–Roger Daltrey and Ian Hunter. I’ve also had the damn good fortune to have shared a stage with everyone from Jimmy Page,
Leslie West, Steve Marriott to Rufus Thomas (I got to “Walk the Dog”)

I’ve had artists who I love and respect cover songs I’ve written ,and even got to decorate a wall in Byrdland with a few gold and platinum records.


Nice huh?
Problem is I’m not the kind that can rest on my laurels (you know how painful that can be!).

This is now and now I’m a solo artist–playing my songs, making my music and fighting my battles!

To be honest I’m feeling a little punchy from all the fighting.

But I promise you this…they’’ll have to carry me out of the ring still swingin’ and still singin’.

Let’s face it the music business (what’s left of it) is not for the faint of heart. it can break your spirit and leave you bitter.”It was you Charlie…you shoulda watched out for me. I coulda been a contender!”

Sorry, I had a Brando moment!.

Anyway as the saying goes… you buttered your bread now you gotta sleep in it…or something like that.

Where was I? Oh yeah

These days I have no illusions or expectations other than making the coolest music I can and have fun doing it.

So keep your eyes and ears open cause sooner or later I’ll be coming to your town. It might be a stadium, a theatre, a club or maybe even a coffeehouse, but you can bet the farm I’ll have a big ass grin on my face and be happy to be there.

About 12 Step Music Fest

12 Step Music Fest is a campout for ALL 12 step fellowships. It will be held November 3-6, 2011 at Sugarloaf Key (mile marker 20) KOA Campground in the Florida Keys. The entire campground will be closed to the public.

It's a mini Woodstock, minus the drugs and alcohol, but add meetings and fellowship! It is being produced by No Matter What Productions, a not for profit, 501 c 3 charity. Our mission is to help people suffering from all forms of addiction to recover and become acceptable, responsible and productive members of society. Our vision is to eradicate the stigma "Once an addict always an addict."

We are promoting music, fun and harmony among fellowships. We will have floating meetings, yes meetings in the ocean, bring your rafts and noodles!! There will be 3 - 24 hour marathon tents for all fellowships and special interest meetings.

There will be a childrens tent with crafts and activities all day as well. The KOA has a beach and volleyball, pool and hot tub, as well as showers and bathrooms. Food and recovery merchandise vendors will be on site as well.

We will have bands playing on the main stage throughout the weekend.

A talent show will be held in the Coffee House Saturday.

Also in the Coffee House there will be solos and duos playing all day and night.

Due to campground capacity we can only sell 2000 tickets, so please book early.

THIS IS A DRUG, ALCOHOL AND GAMBLING FREE EVENT.
Violators will be removed from the park and no refunds will be given.
